- Salmon et al.'s SC11 paper describes generating random draws from logical application identifiers and time steps, so streams can follow simulated objects across changes in physical parallelism. Section 5.1 also spells out the obligation: accidental reuse of a key/counter pair repeats the draw. Useful design context for parallel simulations; this author paper is not independent validation of whole-program reproducibility or a current hardware ranking.
