   Fan et al.'s CoNEXT 2014 paper describes an approximate membership structure supporting deletion. Section 3.3 gives a useful precondition: the deleted item must have been inserted, or its colliding fingerprint can cause another item's representation to be removed. A positive approximate lookup alone therefore cannot establish safe deletion. This is a design constraint from the author paper, not an independent implementation audit or a current performance ranking.
